New Accessories for the 83 Series Padlock
MAX Shackle: 83 Series Exclusive
The ABUS MAX Shackle, designed exclusively forthe 83 Series padlocks, delivers a significant leap in performance and durability. Engineered for demanding industrial and commercial environments, the Max Shackle offers enhanced resistance to torque, cutting, and tensile forces. Setting a new benchmark for lock security.
What it’s built from:
- 5/16″ custom hardened steel
- Available in four lengths: 1″, 2″, 3″, and 4″
What it’s compatible with:
- ABUS 83/45 and 83AL/45 series padlocks
How it installs:
- Remove the standard shackle with the quick-change tool
- Use both locking balls for secure fit
- Insert new MAX Shackle
- Re-install padlock cylinder core
No special tools beyond the standard 83 Series shackle-change tool, and no need to replace the lock itself. If you’ve already got 83/45 or 83AL/45 padlocks in the field, this is a straight upgrade.
Flexible Cable Shackle
Upgrade your ABUS 83/45 or 83AL/45 series padlocks with the ABUS Flexible Cable Shackle. This innovative accessory transforms your trusted padlock into a flexible security solution designed for applications where a rigid shackle isn’t practical. This is ideal for securing oversized or irregular items where a traditional rigid shackle can provide.
Available in two lengths:
- 17.7″
- 48″
Shackle diameter: 5/16″
Compatible with: ABUS 83/45 and 83AL/45 series padlocks
Conversion uses the same quick-change shackle tool as the MAX Shackle. Swap it out in seconds, with no separate purchase of a new lock required.
